TamworthTamworth welcomes many visitors to its town, some to see the Castle built by the Normans around 1080 or browse among the stalls on the street Market. The statue of Robert Peel, responsible for inaugurating the police force (Bobbies), commemorates the fact that he was the Member of Parliament for the town. Thomas Guy, founder of Guys hospital, was a native of Tamworth. The town is also famous for its Tamworth Pigs and is home to Drayton Manor Theme Park and Zoo, one of the oldest theme parks in the country
