Stone Country Market offers a wide selection of delicious, freshly baked homemade cakes and savouries. Along with the usual favourites, the specialities include traditional homemade Staffordshire Oatcakes and Honey, Date and Walnut cakes.

A wide range of homemade preserves is also available, including chutneys to complement the season: the Spicy Tomato Chutney and Five Vegetable Chutney are very popular.

Local, seasonal fruit and vegetables, plants and cut flowers are also on sale.

Stone Country Market holds special taster days for customers during the year.

Stone

Stone is situated midway along the Trent and Mersey Canal.

Stone has a long history as a canal town. The canal, which opened in 1771, was financed by Josiah Wedgwood who wanted to use the waterways to transport materials to the potteries and finished wares to his customers.

Stone now welcomes over 30,000 visitors every year by narrow boat, maintaining its image as a leading canal town.

For the past 18 years Stone Country Market has traded from the Crown Hotel.
